Dr. Robert Frimmel, a founding member of Sarasota Foot Care Center, is a dedicated and compassionate podiatrist. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he delivers exceptional foot and ankle care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Frimmel brings a wealth of knowledge and a patient-centered approach to his practice, ensuring optimal outcomes for a wide range of conditions.
A proud graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Dr. Frimmel earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine). He further honed his skills through a rigorous podiatric surgical residency in Fort Worth, Texas, and completed an advanced fellowship in orthopedics and biomechanics in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Frimmel is a respected leader in the podiatric community, having served as president of both the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and the Manasota Podiatric Medical Association. Nationally, he has made significant contributions as the chair of the Annual Scientific Meeting for the American Podiatric Medical Association. Locally, he serves on the governing board of the Sarasota County Medical Society, advocating for excellence in healthcare.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Frimmel is an avid runner, having conquered prestigious marathons including Boston, New York, Antarctica, and the demanding Pike’s Peak course in Colorado. His passion for an active lifestyle extends to sailing, cooking, and brewing artisanal beer, reflecting his commitment to balance and creativity.
